I didn’t realize it at the time, but Jamie & Leo were guests at a wedding I photographed back in 2021 and now this year, I get to photograph them getting married! They were so full of joy and loved to simply be around each other.
These two wanted to do their session at Valley Forge because it’s special to them. Get this, a year prior to them even dating, they find that Leo had taken a picture at Valley Forge of the sunset not knowing Jamie was in that photo. Later on, they realized this and it was just one of the things that make this park special to them! So it was fun to take that and get photos of them on the hill as the sun set and to be able to capture this special season of being engaged at one of their favorite places.
It can feel awkward to get in front of the camera if you’re not used to it but as I tell my couples, it might feel awkward for the first 20 minutes or so but I promise it will begin to feel more natural and get more fun–and you know what? Everyone agrees with me in the end (Jamie & Leo did!). My job is to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and I promise I’ll be there guiding you at both your engagement session and your wedding day. You would never have known that Jamie & Leo had not had professional photos taken before!
Their wedding at The High Point is going to be absolutely stunning this fall and I can’t wait to capture their joy again come October!
