Shannon & Luke’s wedding day was filled with some of the sweetest moments. From the moment Shannon’s girls saw her in her dress, to their first touch, to when Luke watched Shannon walk down the aisle, and the sweet words shared during toasts, it was such a great day.
I had such a fun time photographing Shannon & Luke’s engagement session (see their Overlook park engagement session here) and I was looking forward to their wedding day. I arrived and immediately knew it was going to be a beautiful day–it was a hot one but it wasn’t raining!
I’ll remember their first touch and just how sweet it was to get to photograph this special moment for them. And not to mention, they had the most beautiful backdrop with the house in the background. Not only was this a special and personal part of their day, but during the ceremony, they washed each other’s feet and worshiped Jesus–those are my favorite types of ceremonies!
Shannon works for the JDK Group and they blew it away with the reception and florals. The sweetheart table was stunning and it was special to be able to witness Shannon seeing the reception space for the first time.
We managed to sneak out during the reception for a few minutes to catch some last sun rays and I’m so glad we did–we were able to grab some sweet moments and photos for Shanon & Luke before they grabbed some ice cream from the Penny’s Truck (I’m here to petition that every wedding includes an ice cream truck from here on out) as the party got started! Thanks to Shannon & Luke, I get to return to Bluestone Estate for a few 2024 weddings and I’m excited to revisit this venue again soon!
